The journey of a widow
Nothing prepares you for the moment life changes forever.
When Carissa Joy Gibbons lost her husband, the world she knew collapsed beneath the weight of grief, uncertainty, and silence. In the wake of devastating loss, she was forced to navigate life as a widow one painful step at a time while holding onto faith when answers felt distant and peace seemed impossible.
The Journey of a Widow is a deeply personal, faith-inspired memoir that chronicles the raw realities of grief, loneliness, and spiritual wrestling after the death of a spouse. Through honest reflection, biblical insight, and lived experience, Carissa shares how she leaned on Scripture, prayer, and God’s quiet presence to survive the darkest days and slowly rediscover hope. This book does not offer easy fixes or empty platitudes. Instead, it offers companionship for the grieving heart, reassurance for those questioning their faith, and gentle encouragement for widows learning how to breathe again after loss. Whether you are walking through widowhood yourself, supporting someone who is grieving, or seeking faith-based encouragement during a season of sorrow, The Journey of a Widow reminds readers that even in loss, they are not alone and that healing, though slow, is possible.
